Where Have I Been? A Life + Learning Update

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared a blog post—so, where have I been?

The truth is, I’ve been deep in learning mode. I recently enrolled in an advanced program to expand my coaching offerings, and I’m incredibly excited about it! It’s a multi-month certification that’s pushing me to grow in new ways, and I’ve been soaking up every bit of it. While it's been a lot to balance, I know this investment will allow me to serve my clients on a much deeper level.

Becoming the Student (Again)

This week, I have the opportunity to run some of the lab tests on myself as part of the training. I am so excited to be able to learn more about my body and what healing opportunities are available to me.

The first test I’m getting back will help me pinpoint the best dietary approach for my unique needs—a long-awaited moment, especially given my personal health history. I’m also testing my hormones, stress markers, food sensitivities, gut health (GI MAP), and more. I truly believe this process is going to be life-changing, and I can't wait to eventually offer these tools to my clients in a cost-effective, empowering way.

Life Lately: Stress, Reflection, and a Few Lightbulbs

In addition to diving into coursework, I’ve been juggling the stress of my full-time job, planning my mom’s 70th birthday celebration (which was a success and is now behind me!), and—truthfully—struggling a bit to keep all the plates spinning.

But instead of getting stuck in frustration, I’ve chosen to reflect. I’ve learned a lot about myself and my body these past few weeks.

For years (decades, even), I just assumed I was someone who had sleep issues. I labeled myself as "just tired all the time." But the more I slow down and tune into my body, the more I realize: my lifestyle—especially my evening habits—was likely the real culprit.

I've discovered that eating large meals too late, having too much sugar close to bedtime, or even enjoying a glass of wine at night, consistently wrecks my sleep. And poor sleep? It affects everything. My energy, my mood, my ability to work out the next day—it all suffers.

Now that I’m aware, I can use my desire for quality sleep as motivation to shift my habits. I don’t need to rely on willpower alone. I know that skipping the late-night snack or the extra drink will help me feel good tomorrow—and that’s a powerful reason to choose differently.

What This Means for You

While I haven’t been sharing as much publicly the past few weeks, my mind and heart have been full. I’ve been reflecting, learning, and growing—so I can become not only a better coach for my clients, but also a better advocate for myself.

I’m more motivated than ever to help others break free from patterns that leave them feeling stuck, tired, or defeated. If you’re on your own journey and feel like you’re spinning your wheels, you’re not alone. I’m walking this path too—learning every day—and I’d love to walk alongside you.

If you would like more information on my certification and to be put on the waiting list, shoot me a message HERE.

More to come soon. Until then, keep listening to your body. It’s always trying to tell you something.
